Movie Month at BRAVO!

In air-conditioned comfort, BRAVO! Theatre is offering a “Beat the Heat” and “Save the Pooches” month of classic, must-see-again movies.

For every 250-peso ticket sold, BRAVO! will contribute 100 pesos to Bone Voyage to save the dogs who are right now in need of our help.

Enjoy entertainment, free popcorn, air-conditioning and “puppy” love all in one afternoon!  All shows are at 4 p.m. A cash bar and other movie snacks are available.

Wednesday, May 8

Bull Durham (1988)

Directed by Ron Shelton with Susan Sarandon, Kevin Costner, and Tim Robbins, a baseball movie for baseball season, with enough steam to be hot but not enough to overpower our air-conditioning!

Thursday, May 9

Chaplin (1992)

Directed by Richard Attenborough with Robert Downey Jr., Geraldine Chaplin, Anthony Hopkins, Kevin Kline, Paul Rhys, Dan Aykroyd and a host of well-known movie stars.  The life story of Charlie Chaplin with triumphs, tragedies and creative magic.  Arguably one of Downey’s most brilliant performances.

Friday, May 10

Babe (1995)

Directed by Chris Noonan with James Cromwell, Magda Szubanski, Miriam Margolies, Hugo Weaving and Christine Cavanaugh. The story of the most charming doggone piglet you’ll ever meet.  A feel good movie if ever there was one.  A duck who crows, a cat who threatens, a dog who shares her love and some pretty feisty sheep who come to heel for our hero!

Wednesday, May 15

Cool Hand Luke (1967)

Directed by Stuart Rosenberg with Paul Newman, George Kennedy, Strother Martin, Ralph Waite,  Wayne Rogers, Dennis Hopper and Harry Dean Stanton. What a cast!  You will be surprised at how many of the actors in this classic Paul Newman movie became familiar to us over the years.

Thursday, May 16

Princess Bride (1999)

Directed by Rob Reiner with Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Wallace Shawn, Billy Crystal, Carol Kane and Christopher Guest. One of the most entertaining movies of all times – with more repeatable quotes than any other movie.  It would be “inconceivable” without proper air-conditioning – which we have! Feel free to come in costume, to join in on the famous lines and enjoy the movie to its fullest.
