This Valentine’s Day, the Northern Lights Music Festival is offering a truly special experience—an evening that blends world-class music with romance, elegance, and indulgence.
Set for Friday, February 14 at the elegant “Festival House,” this event marks the festival’s first step toward creating a new Valentine’s tradition, with hopes of making it an annual favorite.
Headlining the evening is JUNO Award-winning vocalist Caity Gyorgy, whose seamless technique and warm, expressive voice have earned widespread acclaim. She will be joined by pianist Mark Limacher, an artist known for his sophisticated arrangements and compositions. For this performance, Limacher has reimagined their album with the addition of a string quartet, creating an intimate, acoustic setting. With no microphones, amplifiers, or percussion, the focus will be entirely on the rich interplay of voice, piano, and strings—enhanced by the venue’s renowned acoustics.
Beyond the music, the festival has carefully crafted an atmosphere designed to celebrate love. Marzelle Monroy, the festival’s event curator, has partnered with the newly opened Alfer Pastels to provide an exquisite selection of handcrafted desserts. Guests can enjoy artisanal petit fours and profiteroles, along with delights such as mini cheesecakes, chocolate-dipped strawberries, raspberry and white chocolate tarts, macarons, passion fruit mousse, and mini red velvet cakes.
To add to the romantic ambiance, a charming Bouquet Bar will offer fresh floral arrangements for attendees to present to their loved ones. Paired with champagne cocktails—including French 75s, Bellinis, and Kir Royals—this thoughtfully curated experience promises an unforgettable Valentine’s evening.
