Eddie Lara offers a classical concert at the Centro Cultural Gonzalez Gallo, Sunday, June 20, 12:30 p.m. Voluntary contributions are welcomed.

Dance away the longest day of the year, Sunday, June 20, at American Legion Post 7, when Old Souls play with Ross Hubbell on lead guitar. Music starts 6 p.m. Cover 100 pesos.

The Little Big Band plays at the grand opening of Villa Monet restaurant, Saturday, June 19, 5 p.m. (no cover) at Paseo Ramon Corona (Malecon) and the corner of Aquiles Serdan, Chapala.

Exhibit

Glenda Rogers shows new oils and watercolors at Oui Oui Restaurant July 1, 4 and 14 to celebrate Canadian, U.S. and French independence days. The artist will be on site 1 to 3 p.m. Part of the proceeds will benefit an orphanage in Jalisco.

LCS Art Show

Meet and talk to more than 40 local artists from the Ajijic Society of the Arts and LCS Children’s Art Program Friday and Saturday, July 2 and 3, 2-6 p.m. at the Lake Chapala Society.

A cash wine bar will be available. Tickets, 150 per person, are on sale at the  LCS office, open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at the door. Kids under 12 are free. Proceeds benefit LCS and the Children’s Art Program.

Concerts in the Park

Roy Cruz stars in the Freddie Mercury story, “I Want it All,” to be staged at the Lake Chapala Society Saturday, July 24, with performances at 3:30 and 6 p.m. Tickets are 350 pesos and available on the LCS website or at the office.
