Sol y Luna Hotel is holding a dinner dance and art auction fund-raiser for Dani Rodriguez to help with the cost of her cancer treatments, Friday, June 25.

Print Lab/Exhibit

Galeria Monica Cardenas is holding a showing of 40 lakeside artists, including unseen drawings by Georg Rauch, Saturday, June 26, 6 p.m. The gallery also introduces its new fine art printing lab, Museé Art.

On the plaza in San Antonio Tlayacapan. Open Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday until to 2 p.m.

LLT auditions

Lakeside Little Theatre’s Ajijic Readers Theatre holds auditions for “Light Sensitive” by Jim Geoghan, Monday, June 28, 10 a.m. to noon at the Angel Terrace. Director Dave McIntosh is looking for one woman and two men.

LCS Art Show

Meet and talk to more than 40 local artists from the Ajijic Society of the Arts and LCS Children’s Art Program, Friday and Saturday, July 2 and 3, 2 to 6 p.m. at the Lake Chapala Society. A cash wine bar will be available. Tickets, 150 pesos, are available at the LCS office, open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at the door. Kids under 12 are free. This is  a benefit for the LCS Children’s Art Program.

Exhibit

pg12bGlenda Rogers exhibits new oils and watercolors at Oui Oui Restaurant July 1, July 4 and July 14 to celebrate Canadian, U.S. and French independence. The artist will be on site 1 to 3 p.m.

LCS concerts in the park

Roy Gomez Cruz’s powerful vocals and unbelievable impersonation of Freddie Mercury will take you on an energetic journey of the life of this rock icon in his “I Want It All” concert, Sunday, July 25, at the Lake Chapala Society. Sing along to Queen’s greatest hits, such as “I Want to Break Free,” “The Show Must Go On,” “Bohemian Rhapsody” and more. Shows are at 3:30 and 6 p.m.

Tickets, general 350 pesos and VIP 500 pesos, are available at the LCS office Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or on the LCS website.

Friday, June 25, King Pachuco plays La Changada Bar 9 p.m.; Traficantes del Ritmo are at the Iron Horse, 7:30 p.m.; Gary Lanz Band plays La Pacena, 6 to 8 p.m.; and Tequila Blues are at El Barco, 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 26, Sagrey plays Domenech, 7 p.m.; Flashback is at El Barco, 2:30 p.m.; and AltaVoz plays the Iron Horse.

5-year anniversary fest

Ray Domenech is putting on the dog to celebrate his restaurant’s five-year anniversary on July 4, when his band Sagrey takes the stage Monday, July 5. The Tenampa Brass Band will blow the doors off the fiesta venue: Aquiles Serdan 9 in Ajijic. Chef Tina Riggins-Jones has concocted a special Argentine and New Orleans fusion dinner.
