Help choose LLT plays
The Lakeside Little Theatre (LLT) board of directors is looking for volunteers to serve on play-reading committees responsible for selecting and recommending shows to be staged as part of Season 62 (2026-2027). There are two distinct committees, one focusing on plays and the other on musicals.
If you are interested in reading plays and/or musicals and have present or past theatrical experience, you are encouraged to participate. Contact the chair of both committees, Dave McIntosh, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., prior to July 1.
Play reading will commence in July this year. More information on the play-reading process and the play selection guidelines can be found on the LLT website.
Bare Stage Theatre
Come and enjoy Bare Stage’s June production, “Ada and the Engine” by Lauren Gunderson – a dynamic theatrical experience exploring the life of Ada Lovelace, the world’s first computer programmer (also, Lord Byron’s daughter) and her groundbreaking work with Charles Babbage.
The strength of this captivating play lies in its ability to balance complex themes with engaging storytelling, making it accessible and enjoyable for audiences. Gunderson’s writing sparkles with humor, warmth and insight, bringing Ada’s story to life in a way that’s both entertaining and enlightening.
Lynn Gutstadt directs Don Beaudreau, Mikhaila Molloy, Kathleen Morris and Nathaniel Pusey. Chris Philipson provides sound design.
The show runs Friday to Sunday, June 27 to 29, 4 p.m. Summer Special tickets are only 200 pesos
