Invited soloists—finally—to highlight orchestra season

Distinguished musicians will perform in Guadalajara this summer—coming from points as near as Guadalajara and as distant as New York City—to add their finesse to the first programs of the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra (OFJ) that will utilize guest players since March 2020, when the pandemic began to undercut culture here.

The Conjunto Santander de Artes Escenicas in Guadalajara is hosting a production of “Bastien and Bastienne,” a one-act (45-minute) comic opera written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at the age of 12, with performances on May 14 and 15.
