Lions and tigers and bears ... why not?

According to The Huffington Post, the lions and tigers at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. have tested positive for Covid-19.

The big cats are displaying symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, lethargy and decreased appetite, so zookeepers believe they are most likely infected, or they want their beefsteak with onions and mushrooms.

Other animals that tested positive have included snow leopards in Kentucky and San Diego, otters in Georgia, and most recently, 19 gorillas at Georgia’s Atlanta Zoo. In March, the San Diego Zoo vaccinated several orangutans and bonobos. California’s Oakland Zoo began vaccinating big cats, bears and other primates in July.  PPE (personal protective equipment) for administrators included chain mail and tranquilizer guns.

And you know, some humans taking dewormer may go to the zoo looking for herd immunity.
