Democrats Abroad chapters in Lake Chapala, Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta have all organized celebrations for the 243rd birthday of the United States.
Lakeside
The Democrats Abroad Lake Chapala U.S. Independence Day celebration will be held at Hotel Montecarlo in Chapala, Thursday, July 4, 4-8 p.m. The menu is huge hamburgers and large, beef hot dogs, potato salad, watermelon and apple pie. A cash bar is available. Tickets, 300 pesos, are available at Yoli’s Beauty Salon, Diane Pearl and the Monte Carlo Hotel. No tickets will be sold at the door. Guadalajara
The bash organized by Democrats Abroad Guadalajara takes place at La Bocha Restaurant, located on the Glorieta Chapalita (Avenida Guadalupe and San Ignacio) Thursday, July 4, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Excellent food and drink is guaranteed at this top-end metro-area Argentine eatery.
Puerto Vallarta
The party put on by the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad is scheduled at Daiquiri Dick’s on Los Muertos Beach in Puerto Vallarta, Thursday, July 4, 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are on sale at Daiquiri Dick’s for 550 pesos and include picnic food, a patriotic cocktail and live music by the Texas Embassy Blues Band. There will also be a raffle.
