Thanksgiving in the city

Guadalajara residents and visitors shouldn’t forget to book their tickets for the American Society (AMSOC) Thanksgiving lunch served at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 27.

Amsoc members pay 450 pesos and nonmembers 500 pesos for tickets purchased in advance, at https://shorturl.at/xuKQw or the clubhouse (open until 2:30 p.m.).  Children aged 6-12, 250 pesos; under six, free. Tickets at the door will cost 600 pesos.  Doors open at noon.  Come and have a drink and a chat before the meal.  Amsoc is located at Avenida San Francisco 3332, Colonia Los Arcos.

A later option

Are there any alternative Guadalajara Thanksgiving options and hours to the excellent meal offered by the American Society (AMSOC) on Thursday, November 27, at its headquarters?

While some of the larger hotels have indicated they may be serving traditional meals throughout the day, none have yet advertised the fact (this may change as the day nears).  However, the restaurant and live music venue, Cafetal 97, is offering a special Thanksgiving feast with turkey and all the trimmings. Two seatings are available: 5:30–7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.–midnight. Both include dinner, a welcome drink and live jazz music. Tickets can be reserved via Boletomovil, WhatsApp at (+52) 33-1889-8999, or directly at the venue.

Cafetal 97 is located at José Guadalupe Zuno 1797, Colonia Americana. For more information, visit www.cafetal97.com.
