The Chapala Sunrise Rotary Club will be offering a series of public events in March 2016 to honor outstanding women who live at Lakeside and showcase their accomplishments.
The week-long program begins on International Women’s Day, Tuesday March 8, with the Women’s Golf Tournament at the Chapala Country Club, followed by a cocktail reception, silent auction and a tournament awards dinner.
Free breast-cancer screenings will be offered all day Wednesday as well as a ladies’ luncheon and fashion show at 2 p.m.
Friday brings the Lakeside Outstanding Women of the Year awards ceremony, and Saturday will feature a parade in Chapala and an escaramuza (women’s horseback-riding) exhibition and competition later that day.
