San Antonio holds belated Independence festivities

As is customary, San  Antonio Tlayacapan will celebrate Mexico’s Independence with belated festivities, scheduled for this weekend.

The Grito ceremony will take place Saturday, September 22, 10:45 p.m., preceded by live entertainment starting at 8:30 p.m. and followed by fireworks and a town dance, all set at the village plaza.

The Independence parade will be held the next morning, starting from the sports complex at the west end of Ramón Corona, 10 a.m., and winding through the streets to end at the plaza for a ballet folklorico dance performance and traditional games for kids and adults. ´
