St. Andrew’s Anglican has cancelled all its devotional services, social gatherings, meetings, etc., until further notice, due to Covid-19.
The parish will provide, via YouTube, daily devotions, including spiritual meditations, readings and music. On each of the remaining Sundays in Lent, the Penitential Order will be read on YouTube. And, each Sunday, while the church is closed, a video-cast of the Homily will air on YouTube.

Little Chapel by the Lake
Sunday, March 29, Little Chapel will celebrate and worship through scripture and music at the 11 a.m. service. John Whitener will be preaching on “Jesus and the Human Drama,” taken from the text of Mark chapter 5.
If you are at “high risk” please take care of yourself and stay home. Give us a call if you would like someone to come and visit. After the service join us for a friendly meal in the fellowship hall. All are welcome.

Christ Church
For the safety of our parishioners, Christ Church Lakeside deeply regrets continuing the suspension at church services and bible study until further notice.
The GAM food distributions will be held about 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 31 and April 14, at the last soccer field on Calle Revolucion (the street where Ajijic’s Wednesday market is held). Help is always needed to fill the buckets with food for needy families.
Our prayers go out to those who are afflicted, not only in Mexico but in the entire world.
Lakeside Presbyterian
The Lakeside Presbyterian building remains closed during the coronavirus outbreak, with regularly scheduled events and meetings cancelled.
Worship, however, continues uninterrupted, thanks to live-streaming technology. LPC services are conducted each Sunday at 10 a.m. via facebook/lpcchapala or at lpccchapala.org.

This Sunday, Dr. Wayne Cook reminisces about earlier years: “My dad used to have a huge garden. One time I watched him using a wooden hand-held tiller being pulled by a horse. The horse was pulling really fast, and my dad seemed to be holding on for dear life while running behind the horse. He did not look to either side or behind. His eyes were straight ahead to keep the rows straight.” We now approach the most important time of the Christian year, Jesus’ Resurrection. But before looking at how he was raised, we are first challenged by the circumstances of his death. When the time was right, Jesus “turned his face toward Jerusalem.”

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)
Jesus endured the cross, scorned its shame, and sat at the right hand of the throne of God. What was the joy that was set before him? It was his glorious expectation that into the lives of men and women who were being tormented and ruined, torn apart and destroyed by sin and rebellion, his healing resurrection would bring eternal life. He would integrate all of life and bring focus and perspective. He would call men back to all the expected fruitfulness of the Christian life. Anticipating what his life would accomplish, and knowing he would be reunited with his father, he endured the cross. He poured out his blood though we have not earned it, and is now seated victorious on the throne on high. Through His grace we are saved and it is our responsibility to use that life to glorify Him. We are in perilous times. We need to reach out to others in need and give them aid. We need to protect and support those around us and we need to pray for those who are in harm’s way or already ill from the virus that is attacking our world. Vaya con Dios.

We listen to videos of contemporary teachers. Then we meditate as a group with a guided Self-inquiry.
