Open Circle has suspended its weekly program at the garden at Lake Chapala Society. Each week it highlights a different video of a past presentation.
This week, “Mexican Grace” will be shown.
On Independence Day 2019, Open Circle presented a special “Thank You” to Mexico and its people. Many of us have experienced extraordinary moments in Mexico when the spontaneous graciousness of the Mexican people touched our hearts, so we pre-selected nine members from our audience, who each presented a five-minute story of moments where they experienced an example of “Mexican Grace.” The program’s highlight came when a group of Mexican senior citizens – in full traditional regalia – danced for the attendees, who in turn lifted tequila-filled shot glasses and toasted this nation. This must-see Open Circle video is offered as a tribute and blessing to the people of Mexico who have welcomed us with their wide and open arms.
