In the classic book “The Three Boxes of Life,” Richard Bolles suggests that we abandon the model of school, work, and retirement as three distinct sequential phases of life. Not only is that model unfulfilling for most people, it is increasingly untenable in today’s economy. And yet many of us are now here at Lakeside (or elsewhere), living in the third box. We’ll explore what that means, and how people might best navigate school, work and life with a clear sense of purpose.

Abundant Life Church

Have you ever been rejected by someone? The good news is that God will never reject you. Even if you were considered an outcast in society, you are not one before God.   Sunday, July 12, Pastor Gary takes us the Scriptures to see how Jesus surprised those around him by accepting and treating with respect the outcast. We as the church now have the opportunity to do the same!

We are limited to 50 people so be one of the first to arrive. Those who cannot be with us in person will enjoy our services both on our Facebook page as well as our YouTube channel. Sunday, the service broadcast will begin at 10 a.m. for English at abundantlifechapala.com.

Abundant Life Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God of Mexico and has services for everyone. Our weekly English-language Sunday worship service is at 10 a.m. and English Bible study is Wednesdays at 3 p.m. Abundant Life Church is located at Carretera Chapala-Joco 140 in San Antonio Tlayacapan just a block from SuperLake.

Lakeside Community

Fellowship

What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us — what we conceive God to be like deep in our hearts. The way we think about God is reflected in the way we act, both as an individual Christian, and as the whole Church. A right concept of God is basic to practical Christian living. And a low view of God will destroy the power to live a vibrant Christian life. When a person sees a vision of God high and lifted up, He shines a searchlight into their soul and the need of a Saviour from sin becomes evident to that individual, producing a higher quality of life for believers and a greater power in the gospel message.

The church meets online every Sunday at 10 a.m.
