Christ Church
Christ Church Lakeside, a parish of the Diocese of the West in the Anglican Church of Mexico, will observe the sixth Sunday After Pentecost, July 12, celebrating the Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. via Zoom. Rev. Linda Ramos will celebrate and give a message with the theme “Good Things are Happening” based on Matthew 13:1-9,18-23.
The Bible Study group, hosted by Rev. Danny Borkowski, meets via Zoom on Wednesday, July 15, 1:30 p.m. to learn about the inspired contents of the Bible and share their insights with each other.

Jewish Congregation

Unitarians
The Lake Chapala Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will provide services via Zoom. Instructions for accessing the online service are at lakechapalauu.org. Rev. Matt Alspaugh will speak on “Breaking Out of the Three Boxes of Life,” at the Sunday, July 12, 10:30 a.m. service.
In the classic book “The Three Boxes of Life,” Richard Bolles suggests that we abandon the model of school, work, and retirement as three distinct sequential phases of life. Not only is that model unfulfilling for most people, it is increasingly untenable in today’s economy. And yet many of us are now here at Lakeside (or elsewhere), living in the third box. We’ll explore what that means, and how people might best navigate school, work and life with a clear sense of purpose.

Rev. Moore, sends meditations Monday, Wednesday and Friday that include musical selections. Organist and choirmaster, Timothy G. Ruff Welch sends musical selections on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday to our 250-plus members.
St. Andrew’s volunteer phone/email tree stays in touch with its members personally every week.
General Assembly called by the VP of our Religious Association (AR) to be held at the church, and also via Zoom, will take place Sunday July 12, noon.
St. Andrew’s consignment shop, Todo Bueno, has reopened. Every donation or consignment you make benefits St. Andrew’s Outreach Ministry. Be it clothing, kitchenware, electronics, books, bric-a-brac, furniture, appliances, collectables, sports equipment, etc., bringing it to Todo Bueno enables our parish to financially support a number of Lakeside charities.

Abundant Life Church
Have you ever been rejected by someone? The good news is that God will never reject you. Even if you were considered an outcast in society, you are not one before God. Sunday, July 12, Pastor Gary takes us the Scriptures to see how Jesus surprised those around him by accepting and treating with respect the outcast. We as the church now have the opportunity to do the same!

What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us — what we conceive God to be like deep in our hearts. The way we think about God is reflected in the way we act, both as an individual Christian, and as the whole Church. A right concept of God is basic to practical Christian living. And a low view of God will destroy the power to live a vibrant Christian life. When a person sees a vision of God high and lifted up, He shines a searchlight into their soul and the need of a Saviour from sin becomes evident to that individual, producing a higher quality of life for believers and a greater power in the gospel message.
