The Lake Chapala Baptist Church will be open Sunday, March 7, 11 a.m. for an in-person service. Protocol for Covid, including masks, sanitizing and social distancing will be followed.
The message this week is quite straightforward for the believer in Christ Jesus. “Live as though you are saved because you are!” Ephesians 4:25-32 says it all.
Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. Be angry (righteous indignation) and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil. Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him be industrious, making an honest living with his own hands, so that he may be able to give to those in need. Let no foul, corrupting, or evil word, nor unwholesome or worthless talk ever come out of your mouth, but only such as is good for building up and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as fits the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God’s favor) to those who hear it. Do not grieve or offend the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed, branded as God’s own, secured for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, passion, rage, bad temper, resentment, anger, quarreling, slander, abusive, or blasphemous language be put away from you, along with all malice. Become useful, helpful, and kind to one another, tenderhearted, compassionate, understanding, forgiving one another readily and freely, as God in Christ forgave you. This is how the Christian is to walk, honest, hard workers, who edify one another rather than tear each other down.

St. Andrew’s Anglican

Now that we’re again open for worship, we’re restarting St. Andrew’s feeding program, collecting non-perishable food items to donate to Operation Feed. Boxed milk and empty cardboard egg cartons are especially welcome, in addition to rice, beans, pasta, lentils, garbanzos, oats, oil and salt. Operation Feed distributes these foodstuffs to Lakeside’s neediest families.

LPC supports feeding programs at Niños de San Antonio, A.C., and in the pueblos of Mezcala, La Cuesta and La Zapotera. Thirty one despenas were delivered the fourth week of February for a total of 252 so far this year.

Christ Church
Christ Church Lakeside, a parish of the Diocese of the West in the Anglican Church of Mexico, will observe the third Sunday in Lent, March 7, by celebrating a Holy Eucharist service, 10 a.m. in their new location, two doors east of, and on the same side of the highway as, La Huerta Eventos Center. Look for the building with a red door and windows. Rev. Jim Powers will celebrate and give the message “Cleansing” based on Mark 2:13-22. The service will not be Zoom televised. Covid-19 Jalisco state ordinances and diocesan mandates will be observed. Masks are required.

Fellowship
When Jesus died on the cross, there were a number of miraculous events that took place which indicated the divine hand of God. You see them in Matthew 27. Jesus is hanging on the cross. The robbers have been crucified with Him and they’re insulting Him. Then, in verse 45, “Now from the sixth hour darkness fell upon all the land until the ninth hour.” Supernatural darkness. That’s a divine miracle, it’s God intervening. God was giving testimony to His Son as a sin-bearing sacrifice by turning out the lights, and creating darkness.
Then in verse 51, “Behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.” Men couldn’t have done that, the veil was too high and it was too heavy. Jesus was on the cross while God tore the veil of the temple from top to bottom, throwing open the Holy of Holies. The sacrifice of Christ provided access into the very presence of God. This is a divine miracle.
There are several other miraculous events in that chapter that indicate the deity of Jesus Christ. These things were recorded so that we might believe in Him as the Savior. Do you?

Abundant Life Church
How’s your progress? You may ask a student how is their progress or even someone building a house. The truth is that in every activity or even hobby you will see an increased ability as you apply yourself. We should have our progress in Jesus obvious to everyone. It is wonderful when your friend sees your progress but it is much better when everyone sees your progress in your Christian walk. Sunday, March 7, Pastor Gary will encourage us to have a growing faith that shows real progress to those around us.
Abundant Life Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God of Mexico and has services for everyone.
