Lake Chapala Baptists

“Christians are running a race, a race we want to finish well,” our Pastor told us last Sunday. “How do we finish well, you ask? We need to know one thing: the will of God. God must reveal His plan for your life. It will not be a frail or human plan, it will be His plan, custom-created for your life, character, and gifts.

“Do you have worldly expectations, worldly goals? Ask God to reveal His plan for you. It will be clear, and it will be perfect. We are called to serve Him as He reveals Himself to us, His nature and His purposes for us.

“And friends, let us do the will of God from the heart, not from duty! Look to God, the author and finisher of your faith journey! God’s word and spirit urge us forward, and He will protect us and keep us as we follow His perfect direction, all the way to the finish line.”

Abundant Life Church

It is the time of year where the fine dust settles everywhere. Have you noticed how much easier it is to slip on the tile floor that you always walk on without a problem? Just as the conditions around us affect the stability we previously enjoyed, often without even noticing until it is too late, we can be affected by the spiritual environment around us that we didn’t even know had changed. We need to be careful to keep our stability firmly on the trusted Rock of Jesus and the reliable scriptures that He has given us. Come this Sunday, March 26, as we try to clear the fine dust off our spiritual walkways so that we won’t fall.

Abundant Life Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God of Mexico. English-language services are Sunday, 10:30 a.m., Spanish-Language services are Sunday, 9 a.m. and noon. Bible study in English is held at 11 a.m. each Wednesday with Spanish language Bible studies on Friday at 6:45 p.m.
