Noreen Francis Cozzens has stepped down as commander of Chapala’s American Legion Post 7, effective Wednesday, October 29. Two days later, 2nd Vice Commander Michael Goss also tendered his resignation.
Cozzens stated her motives in a brief resignation letter, noting, “I had hoped to complete more for ‘the good of the legion,’ however it’s so difficult to get anything accomplished with the lack of cooperation and interference from the past leadership. The dysfunction and disrespectful behavior has become intolerable.”
