Jocotepec hospital welcomes first born

Jocotepec First Lady Lillian Olmedo Navarro offers a congratulatory embrace to the mother of the first infant delivered at Jocotepec’s brand new Regional Community Hospital. The healthy baby girl came into the world at 7:30 a.m. on May 19, weighing 3.1 kilos. She is the second child born to the Inclan Rivas family. Doctors reported that mother and child were in perfect health.

Birders report exciting sightings

Lakeside birders continued to search for and record species of birds in the area around Lake Chapala during April excursions to Cristiania Park, where members spotted the Tri-colored Heron, Black-backed Oriole, Forster’s Tern, Summer Tanager, Bushtit, Cooper’s Hawk and Eurasian Collared Dove and more, to total 50 species for the day.
