The lakeside branch of Jalisco’s Colegio de Arquitectos commemorated World Architecture Day and Mexico’s National Day of the Architect on Tuesday, October 1 with a conference of the topic of Baubiology held at Chapala’s Centro Cultural Gonzalez Gallo, the community’s architectural jewel.
A country-style Fiesta Mexicana will be held on Saturday, October 12, 6 p.m., as a fund-raiser to support the Pepe Martinez Equine Therapy Center (CET). The event will be held at the CET home on the grounds of Rancho La Ilusion, located approximately one kilometer off the Libramiento bypass via an unpaved road that branches off to the right just before the entrance to the Chapala Media Park. The entry donation of 100 pesos per person includes free parking and a platter of pozole (pork and hominy stew).

The rally will head out from the municipal soccer field at the north end of Avenida Madero at 4 p.m., following the main thoroughfare to the waterfront Malecon.
