Open Circle

Dr. Beatriz Gallagher presents “My Covid Experience So Far” at the next meeting of Open Circle, Sunday, August 1, 10:30 a.m. at the Lake Chapala Society.

By now, we all know of several friends, family or acquaintances who have had Covid-19 and recovered, but some who have died as well. What determines who survives and who doesn’t? In this lecture Dr. Gallagher will share her personal experience about prevention treatments, protocols for the different stages of the infection and some of the co-infections that complicate the disease. She will mention some topics that cover both true and false information now on the internet based on published science. She will also discuss the second wave of COVID-19: what makes this new variant more difficult, who is more at risk and what to do to reduce the risk of infection and finally, how to build a first aid kit to have at home, just in case.
Beatriz Gallagher, CNS, PhD (Certified Nutrition Specialist and Doctor in Integrative Medicine and Clinical Nutrition) has been in practice for over 30 years. She has continued studying many aspects of clinical nutrition including nutrition for ADD, Women’s issues, The Biochemistry of Addictions, Functional Medicine and now, a distance learning at Bastyr University in Nutrigenomics (how food affects your chemistry).

Operacion Amor is looking for some help in its mission to spay and neuter the local animal population, and thus reduce the street animals roaming around lakeside. The MexiMutt Project, which has helped them sterilize 665 dogs in the past ten months, is moving their efferts to another area of Mexico. Their funding was about half of Operacion Amor’s, which will have to reduce its capacity by about 50 percent. If you would like to help them continue their noble efforts, you can donate via  www.lakechapalacharities.org/donate, or via paypal.com at www.bit.ly/OperacionAmor, or they can pick up a cash donation by contacting them at This email address is being protected from spambots.
