Open Circle
Suzanne Salimbene presents “Dance: the Anti- Aging Secret Weapon!” at the next gathering of Open Circle, Sunday, June 16, 10:30 a.m. in the garden of the Lake Chapala Society.
By dance, Salimbene is talking about ballroom or social dance—whether it be slow dances, swing, salsa or cumbia. In other words the kind of activity you participate in, not watch seated in a chair! Take it from the speaker, who was the oldest (now second oldest) competitive ballroom dancer in Mexico! Aided by demonstrations by her teacher, professional dancer, Alex Ortiz and his dance partner Anastasia Moreno, she will show you how dance defies both physical and mental aspects of aging. They will also demystify many of the terms used to describe both ballroom and social dance and the kinds of dance most frequently done here at lakeside. You will learn where you can go to learn and practice this secret weapon, defy and even turn back the hands of time, while increasing your enjoyment of life here at lakeside.
Reserve your seats at opencircleajijic.org.
