Leanne Babcock will present “Stop Abandoning Yourself, Babe, and Start Being a Problem” at the Open Circle meeting on Sunday, October 12, 10:30 a.m., held at the Lake Chapala Society.

Reflect on the importance of self-care, self-love and reclaiming one’s voice — at any stage of life. This empowering talk invites mature women (and men) to challenge old habits, nurture their instincts, and model confidence and wholeness for younger generations.

Freethinkers

The monthly meeting of the Lakeside Freethinkers will be held via Zoom on Thursday, October 16, 4 p.m. to discuss and celebrate International Freethought Day. There will be presentations by members about their favorite Freethought advocates, past and present, as well as about the history of this day. 

A “freethinker” is one who thinks independently of tradition, dogma or established belief, and includes atheists, agnostics, secular humanists and other skeptics who reject belief in the supernatural.

Salsa workshop at LCS

Choreographer Jorge Romero will hold a four-session salsa dance workshop Saturdays, October 18 and 25, November 1 and 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lake Chapala Society.
