Either way, health authorities have something to celebrate: dengue cases have plummeted nearly 90 percent compared to 2025, according to the state government.

1cAs of epidemiological week 29, Jalisco has recorded just 105 confirmed cases—a fraction of the nearly 1,000 reported during the same stretch last year. This marks a stunning turnaround for a state that ranked first nationally for dengue in 2024. Now, Jalisco sits at 12th place by incidence rate and eighth by total cases, with zero confirmed deaths so far in 2026.
