Astros come up short in division finals

The Astros de Jalisco failed in their attempt to reach the finals of the National Professional Basketball League (LNBP), losing to the Aguacateros de Michoacán in the Western Division finals last weekend.

The Astros lost the first game in the three-game series 79-87, and fell in the second game 87-101. A blow to the Guadalajara-based team’s hopes occurred in game two, when guard and former NBA star Gustavo Ayón picked up four fouls early in the second quarter, forcing the coach to sit him out for much of the remainder of the game.
