Charros up & running as winter baseball league season begins

October 5, the Charros de Jalisco hosted the 2021 Mexican Pacific League (LMP)season opener, defeating the Sultanes de Monterrey 4-2.  

pg6Almost 7,000 spectators filled the Estadio Charros in Zapopan to watch the encounter.

The Charros play the next four games on the road before returning to their home field for a three-game series Tuesday, October 12 to Thursday, October 14, against the Venados de Mazatlan.

The rest of the regular season homes series line up as follows: October 19-21 Sultanes (midweek), October 26-28 Tomateros (midweek), October 29-31 Cañeros (weekend), November 5-7 Naranjeros (weekend), November 12-14 Algodoneros (weekend), November 19-21 Aguilas (weekend), November 26-28 Mayos (weekend), December 7-9 Yaquis  (midweek), December 14-16 Venados  (midweek), December 21-23 Tomateros  (midweek).

Midweek games are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, all starting at 7:30 p.m.; weekend games are Fridays 7:30 p.m., Saturdays 6 p.m. and Sundays 5 p.m.

The Charros Stadium (also known as the Estadio Panamericano) is at Calle Sta. Lucía 373, Colonia Tepeyac, Zapopan, a few blocks from the northern Guadalajara Periferico (beltway). There is plenty of nearby parking.
