Jalisco trade mission heads to Russia

A delegation from Jalisco looking to expand its agribusiness trade with Russia arrived in the world’s largest nation this week.

The only current product from this state that is sold widely in Russia is tequila. Local producers of berries, avocados, limes and other products are hoping to change that scenario.

The trip came about after Jalisco Governor Aristoteles Sandoval met with the Russian ambassador to Mexico twice in recent months.
