Gunmen entered the Starbucks cafe at the corner of Avenida Patria and Manuel Clouthier Monday afternoon and shot dead a man seated at one of the tables.

The two hitmen fired at least three shots at their target, described as a man in his early 30s who was also carrying a gun. He died instantly, reports say.

The hitmen arrived in a Chevrolet Spark and fled on foot, abandoning their vehicle directly outside the entrance of the cafe.  The branch of the popular U.S. chain is located in a busy plaza that also houses a large Soriana store, as well as Office Depot and Home Store outlets.
