Dazzling choreography and star-studded cast shine in spectacular ‘Movies & Icons’ show

Incredible dancing talent took center stage in “Movies & Icons,” a brilliantly staged show presented in three consecutive performances March 14-16 at the Centro para la Cultura y las Artes de la Ribera.

pg13aFrom the opening number, “It’s a Musical,” and a warm welcome by Master of Ceremonies John Ward, to the Act II finale of “Dancing Queen,” the audience was treated to flawless choreography, beloved tunes from cinema, and stunning visual backdrops—all seamlessly woven together for top-tier entertainment.

The months of planning and rehearsals, which began more than six months ago, clearly paid off, taking the audience on a colorful, high-energy journey through film history. And all of it was done in support of noble causes.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the International Festival del Lago’s summer Academy of Music, which sponsors the participation of promising young Mexican musicians in its classical music training program. Additionally, bar proceeds from the event will support Operation Feed in San Juan Cosalá.
