Following two days of protests, farmers from Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato and other states dismantled their massive roadblocks after reaching initial agreements with federal authorities over purchase prices for their crops.
Many freighters, passenger buses and private vehicles detoured through the Jocotepec-Ajijic corridor to bypass the Guadalajara metro area.

At the height of the conflict, Ixtlahuacán Mayor Heriberto headed a roadblock relief campaign with the distribution of drinking water, food supplies and medical attention to more than 3,000 people stranded on the Macrolibramiento.
