Two-week craft fair to run through April 24

Craftsmen and women from all corners of Jalisco will descend into Guadalajara to set up their stalls in the downtown Plaza Liberation over the Easter holiday.

The “Corazón de Artesano” fair will run daily in the centro historico’s largest pubic square from Sunday, April 14 through Sunday, April 26.

According to the Department of Economic Development  (Sedeco), the fair will attract around 400 vendors from 47 municipalities in the state – more than one-third of the total.

A huge range of craft items, as well as typical cuisine and traditional clothing, will be for sale at the fair, which in past years has generated around eight million pesos for the vendors.

The crafts fair will be open daily from 11 a.m.
