Sanitary protocols in force as Primavera reopens

Access to the Primavera Forest, the natural protected area covering 300 square kilometers located to the west of Guadalajara, reopened Monday, June 29.

pg4bBut as visitors return to this popular attraction, strict sanitary protocols have been implemented to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Access from Prolongacion Mariano Otero (Caseta 1) in Guadalajara will be restricted to between 7 to 11 a.m., and will close at 3 p.m. Access hours through the communities of La Primavera (Caseta 2), Emiliano Zapata, La Hiedra, Las Tinajitas and La Tecomata will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., closing at 6 p.m.

The temperatures of all visitors to the Primavera will be taken at the entrances. In addition, every person must carry antibacterial gel, which they must show to personnel at the entrances. All vehicles entering the zone will be limited to two passengers.

Visitors must keep 1.5 meters apart at a minimum, and are asked to stay for a maximum of four hours. Face masks must be used at all times. Circulation on jogging tracks and cycling trails should be one-way only.

Sporting events or camps that exceed 50 people are prohibited.
