Guadalajara hosts gay pride parades organized by different groups on consecutive Saturdays, June 4 and 11.
The first, Guadalajara Pride (formerly Marcha de la Diversidad Sexual), leaves at 3 p.m. June 4 from the Minerva Glorieta, heading along Lopez Mateos and down Hidalgo to the Plaza de la Liberacion, where a festival/street party will be held, running from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Some 60 floats are expected to participate in this march, the larger of the two in June.
The theme for this year’s march is “Yo también soy tu familia” (I am also your family).
