More than 200 individuals are demanding the intervention of state authorities after a realtor with whom they had invested large sums of money committed suicide after telling his clients that he was unable to meet his financial obligations.

Shortly prior to his death, Espinosa had released a video in which he stated, “Since the pandemic, I cannot cover the benefits that I have contracted. I over-mortgaged the properties that I acquired with the fruit of their investments. For 29 years I fully paid all obligations to each and every one of my investors. Currently I can’t anymore.”
Across three decades, Espinoza claimed to have purchased properties with his clients’ money, giving them a high-yielding returns after he either rented, rehabilitated or resold them. Some reports suggest that actors, singers, politicians and sports personalities are, or have been, investors. As many as 2,000 people may have given their savings to Espinoza over the years, one report claimed.
