New taxi service, shuttle link coming to city airport

A solution to the taxi shortage at Guadalajara International Airport is on the way this October, the Pacific Airport Group (GAP) has announced.

pg20Ecofy has been awarded the airport’s third taxi concession and will roll out a fleet of hybrid vehicles, reaching 120 units by May of next year—just two months before the World Cup.

Currently, passengers often face long waits for taxis during peak hours, sometimes up to 45 minutes or more.

In addition, a new shuttle service will launch on the same date, connecting the airport with Expo Guadalajara, the New Bus Station (Central Camionera), the historic center, and the Minerva Glorieta.
