Jalisco authorities have announced the detention of Helidoro “N,” a suspect wanted in connection with a massive 140-million-peso fraud against a state development fund.
The arrest is linked to the September seizure of the Avaterra housing complex, a property originally built as the athletes’ village for the 2011 Pan American Games. The State Attorney General’s Office (FE) seized the complex—comprising 340 housing units and two common areas—as part of an investigation into the alleged misappropriation of public funds from the Jalisco Business Development Fund (Fojal).
