The upcoming Diving World Cup event scheduled for March 5-8 at the Metropolitano Aquatic Center has been officially cancelled.
The decision comes in the wake of civil disturbances in Guadalajara and other parts of the state on Sunday, February 22.
Read a statement: "World Aquatics, in consultation with Aquatics Mexico, the Mexican Federation of Diving and High Diving and CODE Jalisco, has taken the decision to cancel the World Aquatics Diving World Cup stop in Zapopan, Mexico, scheduled for 5-8 March 2026. The safety and security of all World Aquatics event participants remains our top priority."
