‘Mi Macro Aeropuerto’ city link now boarding

The public “Mi Macro Aeropuerto” transportation system was scheduled to begin operations on Thursday, June 4, offering a fast transit link between the Guadalajara International Airport and key destinations across the metropolitan area.

712546058 1427488712758816 4233250210995687156 nThe 100-percent electric bus rapid transit line will operate along dedicated lanes of the Chapala highway with nine stations and a fleet of 41 units equipped with air conditioning and free wi-fi. The system features three routes: one connecting to the Akron Stadium on the city’s Periférico (ring road), another to the Agua Azul Park in the downtown core, and a third reaching Expo Guadalajara on Avenida Mariano Otero.

State authorities confirmed the service will be free from June 4 to 7, allowing passengers to test the new system at no cost. Regular hours during the free period run from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Starting Monday, June 8, service will expand to 3:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. to accommodate airport passenger demand.
