Jalisco Governor Pablo Lemus Navarro has launched 28 digital “Smart Totems” across the Guadalajara metropolitan area, in the initial instance to assist visitors during the 2026 World Cup.
The devices offer information in 19 languages and feature an emergency video-call system directly linked to the C5 Escudo Jalisco security center.
Officials confirmed the totems will remain as permanent technological infrastructure for citizens after the tournament ends.
The interactive kiosks, designed with AI, provide tourist information, historical data, and real-time emergency response.
