Mail-in ballot deadlines draw close

Attention all U.S. Citizens! It’s time to return your 2024 election ballot. If you requested it, it should be in your email by Saturday, September 21.

If you do not receive your ballot by September 24, contact your local election office immediately. You can find their contact information at www.votefromabroad.org/states or by searching online.

The number one reason ballots are not counted is because they arrive too late! Complete and return your ballot within the next few days—no later than September 30. This gives you enough time to track and fix your ballot if your local election office has any issues. You could wait to return your ballot in October, but it’s riskier. If you have to return your ballot by mail in October, it could cost you significantly for DHL or FedEx.

If you have not yet requested your ballot, there is still time. Go to www.VoteFromAbroad.org. It takes about five minutes.

See the Lake Chapala ad on page 9 and the Guadalajara ad on page 6 in this issue for details on local voter assistance. This is especially recommended for Texas and other states with complicated requirements.
