Around 400,000 migrants from the state of Jalisco will benefit from President Barack Obama’s sweeping changes to the U.S. immigration system via executive action.

All but a handful of political pundits say there’s at least an 80-percent probability that the Republicans will win back the Senate in the U.S. midterm elections on Tuesday, November 4.

The U.S. Department of Homeland says statements by a California lawmaker that people with ties to Islamic State (ISIS) have been crossing the Mexican border are “categorically false.” A spokesman for Rep. Duncan Hunter of California said the information about individuals “with known ISIS affiliations” came from a “high-level source within the Border Patrol.”
