State cops raid Jocotepec drug camp

Jalisco’s Fuerza Unica rapid-response police force raided a rural property on the outskirts of Jocotepec Wednesday, November 30, discovering a cache of illicit drugs at an improvised camp site.

During inspection of the property known as Lomo del Bule, officers confiscated 150 kilos of green plant material presumed to be marijuana contained in gunny sacks, a plastic bag and tied into bundles.
They also found a bag filled with about approximately four kilos of marijuana seeds and a sack containing some 17 kilos of a substance with the appearance of crystal meth.  
No one was found at the site. The stash was turned over to federal prosecutors based in Octolán for further investigation.
