Officers serving in Chapala’s police and traffic departments sat in on a training course, held April 2 and 3 at the Centro Cultural Antigua Presidencia, to boost their expertise in handling penal matters, including the detention of criminal suspects and responsible parties involved in vehicular accidents.
Officials from the state’s Ministerio Público system guided the trainees on following human rights protocols and registering data on first responder police reports that are often critical to successful prosecution in court cases.
