María del Rosario Rentería de Rios featured as the Virgin Mary in this year’s Ajijic Passion Play, repeating the role she played in the original 1980 production.
Pictured at her side is Felipe Angulo León, who appeared with her as the very first Jesus and raised a son who took on the same part several times in subsequent years.
