A 52-year-old man fell to his death from his place of residence in Ajijic on Tuesday, September 10.

The fatal incident near the intersection of Calle Donato Guerra and 16 de Septiembre was reported to Chapala police around 6 p.m. by a foreign citizen living across the street, who witnessed the man plunge from his second-story rented room.

The witness indicated that the individual became briefly entangled in electrical wires before landing face up in the street. It remains unclear whether he jumped intentionally or tumbled by accident.

Chapala police chief Raul Valencia Saucedo identified the dead man as a Mexico City native who succumbed to severe injuries to the back of his skull.
