Chapala puts out Covid-19 PSA in English

The Chapala government has produced a public service announcement in English to warn foreign residents of the urgency of staying put to avoid Covid-19 contagion.

The recording is being broadcast by a police patrol and ambulance convoy riding through the streets with flashing lights. Following two short beeps, the message says, “Attention!  We are in a national public health emergency and Jalisco needs us. We are calling on you to stay at home until April 30th. Please stay at home unless it is absolutely necessary. This measure is essential to avoid infection and save lives. With fewer people in the streets, there will be fewer people in hospitals. Stay at home. If you take care of yourself, we all take care of each other.”
