The north side of the Ajijic plaza will be undergoing some minor improvements scheduled to get under way no later than next week, according Chapala Mayor Moisés Anaya.
The long-delayed upgrade will involve replacing the flooring material to match the rest of the central square, along with installation of new park benches. All of the standing trees will remain intact, with enlarged planters at the base.
Before the work crew gets started, the Jardin Plaza Restaurant located at the eastern extremem, will have to eliminate the outdoor dining area that occupies that corner of the plaza, Anaya reports.
