A 29 year-old man was stabbed to death during a brawl that occurred in a popular downtown Chapala watering hole on the night of Saturday, March 20. A 17-year-old was also injured in the fray.
The fatal incident took place at La Cantina de Don Manuel, located on Calle Morelos near the intersection with Avenida Madero, barely a block away from City Hall.
According to non-official sources, the violent attack against the two victims appears to be related to an outstanding gambling debt. The case is under investigation by state authorities.
