The Chapala government is undertaking a complete rehabilitation of Calle Francisco Villa, a short but heavily traveled street located on the west side of Ajijic.
The project on the one-block stretch between Ocampo and Zaragoza entails the installation of a new underground sewage pipeline and resurfacing with cobblestones fixed in cement.
Neighbors living in the multiple housing units situated along narrow alleyways were reportedly consulted on the finishing technique, with the majority expressing approval for its durability and convenience for pedestrians, especially the elderly and young moms using strollers for their infants.
