Neighbors of Ajijic’s Barrio de San Gaspar put together the first annual celebration honoring their patron saint on Sunday, January 8.
The happening started with a procession to carry a statue of San Gaspar to the parish church for the 5 p.m. Epiphany Sunday Mass.
Afterwards celebrants returned to Calle Constitución for a street party that included a pozole supper, piñata breaking for kids and live music. San Gaspar is one of the three legendary Wisemen of the Orient.
