Snuggle up to a Huggable Monster

What is the latest craze at Lakeside?—these cute one-of-a-kind Huggable Monsters.

They are not just for kids—adults love them too. They snuggle with them, place them around their home, tell their troubles to them, and even play with them.

These one-of-a-kind Huggable Monsters are made by Jean Mullenaux. Jean goes into her craft room early in the morning where her creative juices start flowing and by evening, she has made two of them. Each uniquely different and each takes her about two to five hours to cut, sew, stuff and hand stitch decorative notions from buttons, yarn, etc. No two are alike and each has its own individual name from Olive to Bruno.  Jean started making the Huggable Monsters in September of 2022 as a fundraiser for Operation Feed.

So far, Jean has made about 100 Huggable Monsters. The next time to buy them is at the Ajijic Society of the Arts show at The Garden Of Dreams Boutique Hotel, January 21, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

One hundred percent of the money made from her Huggable Monsters goes to Operation Feed.  Operation Feed is currently feeding 156 families in San Juan Cosala.  For more information about Operation Feed, please visit their website at operationfeedsjc.com.
